The Beginning
Back in 2019 Sheffield Cathedral hosted ‘The Angels are Coming’ light spectacular and before the pandemic hosted the indoor light and sound experience ‘The Observatory’, now Luxmuralis is happy to be back with this stunning show for all ages. ~
Artistic Director Peter Walker says:
“We are delighted to return to the Cathedral and present this new adapted work this Christmas. The Sheffield audience is fantastic and the city comes alive during advent. We look forward to working with the Cathedral team and seeing individuals and families return to the building and enjoy the uplifting light show and beautiful music.”
After viewing the wonderful light and sound show outside on the facade of the Cathedral viewers will then be able to access the interior which will be filled with light and sound displaying imagery and colour taken from the stunning stained glass windows. All the music is bespoke and written and produced by Luxmuralis composer David Harper.
Viewers can explore the transformed beautiful sacred space with family and friends, have the chance to light a candle and visit the Christmas Shop.
