Interstellar, 10th Anniversary Concert

Embark on a cosmic journey through the world of Christopher Nolan’s space epic, Interstellar. Released in 2014, the film was an immediate hit with both audiences and critics, with a crucial factor being Hans Zimmer’s Oscar-Nominated soundtrack. Zimmer based his score on the sounds of the organ, working with organist Roger Sayer to create what Zimmer described as the best work of his career.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the films release, Roger Sayer is coming to Sheffield Cathedral to perform a suite of Zimmer’s iconic music from the film alongside other space-related music. Roger will also discuss how he came to be involved with the film, as well as on working with both Zimmer and Nolan. There will also be a Q+A for audience members to connect with Roger and ask any questions they have.

Come enjoy a stellar evening of music which promises to transport you to the stars!

All proceeds from this concert will go towards the Cathedral's School Singing Programme, providing music education for schools in some of the most deprived areas in Sheffield.
