Short Course: Acting for Camera

The Actors' Institute offers short courses in Acting for Camera led by award winning Director, Jack Price. Courses are 100% practical and focus on how to produce great work as an Actor in a film production environment.​

During our next five-day intensive course, starting in September 2020, you will learn how to live in front of the camera using the Meisner Technique and will explore how to apply it within a film production environment. 

​The course will run over the following 5 days:

Friday 4th September 2020, 10am-4pm
Saturday 5th September 2020, 10am-4pm
Sunday 6th September 2020, 10am-4pm
Saturday 12th September 2020, 10am-4pm
Sunday 13th September 2020, 10am-4pm

Cost: £240 per person

About the Course Leader:

Jack Price is one of the UK's leading Acting for Camera teachers and has taught with RADA, BA Hons), The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (MA), Italia Conti (BA Hons), Royal Central School of Speach and Drama (MA / MFA), The Actors Centre and Tobacco Factory Theatres.

Jack has written and directed for the BBC and Channel Four, as well as directing film extensively for Ridley Scott Associates. He has won awards in major film festivals and his most recent feature film work has screened across cinemas in the USA.

He also teaches filmmaking with The BFI Film Academy, Artist Rooms TATE, Hauser & Wirth and he guest lectures in various universities across the UK.
