Voicing Shakespeare - A Text Detection Workshop!

Led by Michael Corbidge, Senior Voice and Text Associate for RSC

Experience a visceral connection to Shakespeare’s text and a chance to let the words live in space un-hindered by previous expectations. Getting out of the head and into the body. A world of gorgeous sound awaits…

An opportunity to ‘buff and shine’ tried and tested ways of speaking and performing Shakespeare in a unique and practical setting. Whether you are an experienced buff, simply want to discover the joys of text and character for the first time, or are an actor looking to delve deeper - this one-day workshop will have plenty to offer you.

Michael has created a tool box and practical kit to build confidence with text, voice, physicality and character and aid in the quest for sense and emotional logic. During this workshop you will be chomping your way through some of Shakespeare's best loved works!
