Fabric Narwhal Workshop for Secondary 1-4

Dive into the fascinating world of Polar Life at Shetland Museum & Archives with this exciting workshop where you can create your own Narwhal out of fabric scraps! Join us for a fun and creative session that combines new crafting skills with learning as you discover more about the majestic ‘unicorns of the sea’ and the unique environment they inhabit. You’ll also visit our latest exhibition from artist Lesley Burr, titled Polar North.  This hands-on experience will not only teach you new craft techniques, such as sewing, but also deepen your understanding of the importance of conservation and protecting our polar regions. Join us for an afternoon of creativity, learning and fun!

We encourage participants to bring their own fabric scraps with them on the day to promote recycling – old t-shirts, jeans, bedding etc, but fabric will be available too.

We ask for your email address so we can contact you to complete a consent form.
