Paul Young - Behind The Lens

He’s been a major star for four decades. Paul Young broke into the big time 40 years ago when No Parlez went to number one and spawned iconic hits like Wherever I Lay My Hat (That’s My Home). More success followed with the number one album The Secret Of Association and the worldwide hit Everytime You Go Away, not forgetting an appearance at Live Aid and more. Paul sustained that success – while having fun in his tex-mex band, Los Pacaminos.

Now, on the 40th anniversary of No Parlez, he’s releasing a remarkable new record and publishing his extraordinary memoir; both called Behind The Lens. He’s touring the UK, too, where he’ll meet fans, sing hits and tell stories about his incredible career. It’s time to revel in the classic hits and learn the stories behind them as Paul steps out from Behind The Lens.

VIP packages are available by calling the Box Office on 01394 284962 for those wishing to meet Paul before the show. Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson - The National DILLIGAF Day Tour

There are few international comedians today who shoot down political correctness with such comedic pin point accuracy as Australia’s Kevin Bloody Wilson.

While today's Age Of Outrage has his contemporaries ducking for cover for fear of being cancelled, Kev crushes PC eggshells with the grace and diplomacy of a wounded buffalo. Kev’s famous DILLIGAF approach to PC is a breath of fresh air, direct, clever and outrageously funny. NATIONAL DILLIGAF DAY is every day, according to KEV, and he’s looking forward to bringing the new album and show to fans around the world as he tackles political correctness head on.

Australia’s 60 minutes programme, host Charles Wooley commented, “If political correctness was a disease, Kevin Bloody Wilson would be the cure”.

Kevin Bloody Wilson’s story is now one of legend. Always a larrikin, he originally wrote and recorded songs on a homemade cassette tape for his mates, simply songs penned about his experiences living in the Outback and working nights as a part time musician and an electrician by day in the gold mines in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Sales of this initial cassette skyrocketed to the tens of thousands before it was transferred to vinyl, where it proceeded to sell tens of thousands more. It was just the start of a career that Kev admits he never saw coming. and he has never looked back!

Fast forward almost four decades, and Kev is a household name throughout Australia and in most of the English speaking world. It is hard to believe that it was almost 40 years ago that he was getting arrested for performing his politically incorrect songs in public. Times have changed though, and Kev even now proudly sports a nomination for Australian Of The Year as one of the country’s most prolific comedian, songwriter and performers. While his songs and concert performances continue to rattle the cages of the PC Brigade, Kevin Bloody Wilson has earned his place in the entertainment industry with almost zero mainstream media support.

Social Justice Warriors, Snowflakes and PC Advocates are invited to stay home … The rest of us are gonna have a ball!

IT’S NATIONAL DILLIGAF DAY!

We recommend over 18 with a strong constitution for this night with two of our favourite comedy legends, which also includes Kev's special guest Jenny Talia.

The Nutcracker - Crown Ballet

Crown Ballet Presents:
The Nutcracker – An eternal seasonal favourite Music by Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky

After last year’s successful premier, Crown Ballet returns this year to the UK to enchant you with the delightful production of The Nutcracker.

The Nutcracker - a charming and kind fairy tale is one of the jewels of Tchaikovsky's repertoire. Prepare to enter a magical new world – the nutcracker in this ballet may be a handsome prince in disguise. The original Christmas story is based on The Nutcracker and the Mouse King written by E.T.A. Hoffmann. It tells the story of Marie, a sad little girl, whose godfather, Drosselmeier, gives her a Nutcracker doll as a present on Christmas Eve. In her lively imagination it turns into a prince and the magic starts…

The ballet is the ultimate fairy-tale where goodness and beauty triumph. This eternal seasonal favourite will be an unforgettable journey in the run-up to Christmas and an ideal introduction to audiences of any age to the magic that is classical ballet.

A wonderful treat full of glitter for the whole family!

Jive Talkin' - The Bee Gees

Renowned as the original and very best Bee Gees tribute show, and the ONLY Bee Gees tribute show that has actually performed with the original Bee Gees! In 1997, Gary & Darren from 'Jive Talkin' performed LIVE on HEART FM with THE BEE GEES and received great compliments from both Maurice and Barry Gibb ...

As with the original Bee Gees, 'Jive Talkin' is very much a family affair, with brothers Gary and Darren Simmons taking the roles of Barry and Maurice Gibb, and Darren's son Jack joining the group in 2014 and taking on the role of Robin Gibb. The guys are supported musically by a four piece band with Lead Guitar, Violin, Cello and Drums, to ensure that every note in every song is just right!

Wherever the group play, they receive superb plaudits: "The soundalike quality is quite sensational" (The Stage), "Amazing similarity to the real Bee Gees" (Wakefield Express), “Absolutely Brilliant” (Maurice Gibb), “WOW!” (Barry Gibb) ...

For a truly amazing experience and an opportunity to hear all the great Bee Gees hits: 'Tragedy', 'Night Fever', 'Massachusetts', 'Stayin' Alive', 'Jive Talkin'', etc, in a 2 hour explosion of music and vocal harmony, this is a night not to be missed!

Something About George - The George Harrison Story

'Something About George – The George Harrison Story' is a musical biopic tribute about the so-called “quiet” Beatle. This show comes to the Spa Pavilion for the first time – following its hugely successful 2023 tour which celebrated what would have been George’s 80th birthday.

“All Things Must Pass”, they say. Well, George Harrison’s name will live on forever. From the creators of 'Something About Simon – The Paul Simon Story', a brand-new show that will answer the question “where does life take you after being in the greatest band in the history of the world?”

Starring West End actor and musician Daniel Taylor, 'Something About George – The George Harrison Story' tells the truly remarkable tale of one of music’s most understated icons.

Featuring a five-piece band performing beautiful songs such as “My Sweet Lord”, “Something”, “Got My Mind Set On You” and “Handle With Care”, the show includes incredible solo material and music from rock n’ roll’s greatest supergroup, The Travelling Wilburys - not forgetting more than a few Beatles’ classics along the way. From heartbreak to hedonism and song writing to instant success, 'Something About George' will show you a life that was anything but quiet.
