The Godfather of Soul - The James Brown Story

The James Brown Story; a tribute done differently ...

Relive the original soul legend in an immersive concert experience that goes beyond imitation and captures the essence of the Godfather of Soul's unmatched legacy. Get involved in the movement as you watch high-octane dance numbers, heart wrenching ballads and timeless classics that have inspired generations of musicians and activists alike to Get on the Good Foot and Say It Loud!

This brand-new production takes you on a journey that explores the life of the King of Funk in his own words, featuring a full cast and 9-piece funk orchestra who have toured with the likes of Jamiroquai, Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse, Martha Reeves and many more.

A message from the Producers:

“If you ain’t dancing, we doing it wrong...” There’s a reason he’s called the hardest working man in show-business: with a vast back catalogue of 74 albums and 144 singles, there will be songs you know and some that you don’t, but we won’t stop working until there’s a smile on everyone’s face.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR LIVE MUSIC SHOWS
Please be aware that many live acts will encourage the audience to participate with singing, dancing and standing. We have to balance this with those that cannot or prefer not to stand and all seats from Row K forwards are only for those wishing to remain in their seats. You will need to move to an aisle behind row K to stand or dance if you book a seat forward of this row. All seating to the rear of this row permits standing/dancing (in both seated areas and the aisles), in most circumstances, for live music shows.

Standing at your seat at any show is not a right. We ask audience members to be kind and considerate to those around them at all times, and to follow the instructions of our ushers and security staff. Anyone who refuses to do as we ask, or is rude or obviously intoxicated, will be asked to leave the theatre. No alcohol, drinks or food may be brought into our building; bags may be searched and such items removed and disposed of.

We hope you understand that these rules are to protect your enjoyment of our show, and that of the whole audience, and that you thoroughly enjoy your visit to The Spa.
