Baby Punk + Dr Babuyoka | Laura Lulika + Hang Linton

Baby Punk + Dr. Babuyoka is a collaborative performance exploring multifaceted queer crip and caregiving identities created by a disabled artist and their partner and carer.

The work challenges common preconceptions of what it is to be sick, crip or disabled and takes influence from queer crip theory and afrofuturism. Our bodies are POLITICAL, SPIRITUAL, JOYFUL, SEXY and ANGRY. The work expresses the need for visibility as a complex and multifaceted crip creature, while addressing the shame attached to sick bodies, bodily fluids and anything medical, in our society.

Lulika+Hang create audiovisual performances exploring topics of care, intimacy, sickness, disability and sex. Together they playfully and provocatively explore their unique otherness through trickster creature-like characters.
