Consone String Quartet with Jane Booth

Classical clarinet. Mozart, Crusell & Mendelssohn
Winners of the 2016 Royal Over-Seas League Strings & Keyboard Ensemble Prize, London-based Consone Quartet is dedicated to exploring and recreating the sound-worlds of the classical and early romantic string quartet repertoire through period instrument performance.  They are joined by a leading light in the historically informed musical practice world, classical clarinettist Jane Booth,  Head of Historical Performance at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Their programme includes arguably the greatest clarinet quintet written, (by Mozart), and another by lesser-known champion of the instrument, Bernhard Henrik Crusell.  Consone's contribution to the evening will be one of Mendelssohn's finest string quartets. Come and revel in some of the finest music written for this wonderful
 combination!
