“The voice is utterly beautiful, and Towers' command of it superb.” Countertenor William Towers joins Cambridge-based Sounds Baroque for an evening of arias composed for one of Handel’s favourite singers, Senesino, including works from Guilio Cesare and Rodelinda. Instrumental works will include an organ concerto and a trio sonata. There is nothing more uplifting than music written by one of the greatest songwriters of all time.
