Following the successes of Twelfth Night (2015) and The Tempest (2018) at the Swan Theatre, we are presenting Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
Having heard the witches predict that he will be King, Macbeth is determined to make the prophesy come true. But his ruthless ambition to power for its own sake ruins the country, and in the end is not enough to spare him from his real fate. After murder, conflict and remorse there is a happy ending. Of sorts!
Then there's the witches and all that 'double, double, toil and trouble...'
