Five Pound Friday Films: Fight Club

Slingshot Screenings is a FILM CLUB focused on programming films that break the mould of mainstream cinema.
That really great independent film not many people have seen, those game-changers that gained late cult status, or that mainstream classic that brought something exciting and different to the big screen.
We show films that amazed audiences, started debates, created controversy, and ultimately made an impact on your film experience; great storytelling from adventurous filmmakers.

FIGHT CLUB (1999) starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton, follows the life of an insomniac office worker looking for a way out. When a slippery salesman invites him to join an underground fight club he jumps at the offer, but as the concept catches on, it spirals into something much more out-of-control.

Directed by David Fincher, also known for Se7en, Zodiac, The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl.
