We are gathering at the Hallmark Hotel in Gloucester on the weekend of Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th September - almost 50 Years to the day of the opening of Island School.
Plans at the moment are:-

Friday 22nd
Check in available from 3pm
Excellent Spa facilities available at the hotel so bring your cozzies
Option to wander round Gloucester Docks in the afternoon
Meet in bar area at the hotel from 7:30pm on. No food organised, but bar meals are available.

Saturday 23rd
Morning at leisure for guests staying over.

Around 1.30pm - Going for Gold - 'Sports' afternoon. Don't be alarmed, there will not be enforced equivalents of running to the second Pagoda (sorry Mr Freeman). These are gentler activities more aligned for the more ancient and decrepit of us. Though there will be the possibility of a game of rounders should anyone be up for it.
But pack your trainers just in case.

There is an option of Afternoon Cream Tea for those that want it. Just choose that option when you book your tickets. You will need to bring your ticket with you to claim your scones and clotted cream!

Could you bring picnic blankets and/or chairs with you to sit in the grounds as the hotel can't provide them.

7pm onwards - meet in the bar at Parkside Suite - This our own function room with bar and large comfy leather seating area
8pm sit down dinner - Barbecue - there will be five mains on offer (a mix of meat and vegetarian), plus salads and jacket potatoes and then Strawberries and cream for dessert.
Followed by a disco to dance off all that food.
Carriages at 1am.

Sunday 24th
Optional Chinese Buffet Style lunch at the nearby Shanghai restaurant - HK Chinese owners and excellent food. It's a buffet style utilising an a la carte menu, with freshly cooked food brought to your table.. All done and dusted by 2pm and you can set off home. The meal will be around £16 per person plus your drinks.

Theme
To reflect the 50th anniversary, we thought it would be nice to celebrate that - so if you'd like to add gold or black to your outfit on the Saturday night, that would be fab (and possibly a bit glittery too :-) ) 

Dress code
Casual for Friday night/Saturday day time (though do pack trainers if you fancy a bit of a trot around playing rounders).
Dinner - Smartish (though suits and ties not required). No jeans or trainers please - we do have standards you know.

Hotel booking
We have 30 reserved rooms at the Hotel and they are already going quickly, so please call Reservations after 9am on 01452-874831 or 01452 874836 and mention "Island School". Cost is a fantastic deal of £85 per ROOM per night and includes Breakfast. Please let the phones ring as the hotel is busy.
And please don't book through Booking.com - you won't get the same deal.

Payment
There are two ticket prices
£40 which includes the afternoon activities, a 50th Anniversary t-shirt and the dinner on the Saturday night
£47 includes the above plus the Afternoon Tea Option

If you are unable to pay on-line please send a cheque made payable to 'Karen Espley' for the correct amount with details of who it's for and what option along with your email address so we can make sure you are included in all event communication.
