Morag Smith - A Celebration with Falmouth Poetry Group

Join us for a day to celebrate the new pamphlet from Morag Smith, National Song published by Broken Sleep Sept 2024. We will be joined by family and friends reading from all of her works including Spoil (Broken Sleep 2021) and Oceana (Clean Ocean Sailing 2023) and sharing poems that have been written for Morag.  We will also be celebrating as Morag would have done the wider poetic community of the South West with a widespread Open Mic session and more.  A day for us all to reconnect and honour a remarkable woman who was not just a poet but also a mother, artist, activist and Zen Buddhist.

Morag wrote as she lived her life with a warrior heart.  Her passion and enthusiasm for all things poetry is so deeply missed by all of us at Falmouth Poetry Group who were privileged to also call her friend. All are welcome to join to hear poetry
