TFTR ON THE AMAZING JOURNEY IN 2023

Following their regional premiere productions of Shout!, Disenchanted! and Soho Cinders and their smash hit production of Calendar Girls; in 2023 Third From The Right Productions bring to the Town Hall (formerly the Cornbow Hall) Halesowen, Tommy, the powerful tale of a deaf, dumb and blind pinball player who triumphs over his adversities and becomes an international media superstar.

With music and lyrics by Pete Townshend. Book by Pete Townshend and Des McAnuff. Additional music and lyrics by John Entwhistle and Keith Moon and based on the 1969 iconic concept album by The Who, this electrifying rock opera has been a smash-hit on both sides of the Atlantic. 

After witnessing the accidental murder of his mother's lover by his father, Tommy is traumatised into catatonia. As an adolescent, he’s discovered to have an uncanny knack for playing pinball, and when his mother finally breaks through his catatonia, he becomes an international pinball superstar.

This 5-time Tony Award-winning rock musical with its appealing and timeless score including the smash hit “Pinball Wizard”, continues to exhilarate audiences with its story of hope, healing, and the human spirit.
