Into the Woods

Our fabulous FHODS Youth Section, previously bringing you the classic Bugsy Malone, are delighted to present the Broadway version of Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim.

The story follows the Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to go to the King’s Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give some milk.

Noel McCalla Quartet

Following a SOLD-OUT outstanding performance in 2022, we're excited that Noel McCalla is returning to the Tower Jazz Room this April for the World Jazz Live Sessions.

He will mesmerize you with his smooth/deep groove performance, comprising of succulent and seductive original songs, mixed within a selection of recognizable tunes from Bill Withers to Al Jarreau.

The Counterfeit Seventies

Featuring the music of Slade, Sweet, T.Rex, The Bay City Rollers and many, many more, they will take you through a rollercoaster ride of the biggest 70s hits.

So whether you want to sit back and take a trip down memory lane, or get your glad rags on and boogie on down, this uplifting show will take you on a nostalgic trip back to the 70s!!

A Mini Swim Film Festival

The Evie Dove Foundation is delighted to have this incredible, emotional and inspiring mini film festival dedicated to raising funds towards their vital work helping sick children and saving young lives by sponsoring the education and training of talented and passionate paediatric clinical professionals.

The afternoon features four beautiful short films all about the benefits and healing impacts of outdoor and open water swimming, two of which recently aired and were stand out hits at the last Kendal Mountain Festival.

Hobson's Choice

FHODS is pleased to announce that the shop doors will soon open on a new production of Hobson’s Choice, the well-loved, classic northern comedy.

Originally set in 1880, Hobson’s Choice is a comic exploration of the changing status and expectations of women at a time when society was about to shift dramatically. However, to present a fresh view of the play and make it more relevant to a modern audience, we are resetting to 1966, another period of significant social change, especially for women, which sowed the seeds of women’s lib and the feminist movement.

Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks

Thursday 23rd - Saturday 25th May, 7.30pm

In Richard Alfieri's poignant comedy, FHODS invites you to a retirees apartment in Florida to witness the developing relationship between Lily Harrison, a 'take no prisoners' widow of a conservative baptist minister, and Michael Minetti an acerbic gay dance instructor, newly from New York. Both wounded, both keeping secrets, an unlikely friendship forms leading to a meeting of feet, if not always minds.

Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra Opera Gala

We're thrilled that the Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra returns to The Tower Theatre with an Opera Gala, focusing on operatic music written for orchestra.

Tristan Banks Quartet

We're delighted to welcome back the Tristan Banks Quartet, following a full house show in March 23. His debut album, View From Above, encapsulates Tristan Banks’ experience as a versatile artist, covering a range of styles that he has been deeply involved with during his career.
