The Dresser

Directed by Maxine Burrows, the action takes place in the Principal Dressing Room, wings and stage of a provincial English theatre during an air raid and the script contains both pathos and comedy in abundance.
The play has been made into two films; the earlier one starring Albert Finney and Tom Courtney and a more recent one starring Anthony Hopkins and Ian McKellan. The play has also been performed in the West End staring Ken Stott and Reece Sheersmith.
