With a new Poet Laureate due to be announced in 2019 Wrighty’s chucking his hat in the ring. He’s on a mission to write poems to unite a nation divided by austerity and Brexit. Can it be done? Mistero Buffo

One of our favourite shows to ever be performed at the Ventnor Exchange returns following a sell out Edinburgh Fringe run and London transfer, culminating in winning the prestigious Stage Edinburgh Award Nobel prize-winner Dario Fo spent thirty years perfecting Mistero Buffo, reworking well-known Biblical stories to skewer the rich and powerful. One of the most controversial and popular spectacles in postwar European theatre, its broadcast caused the Vatican to denounce it as “the most blasphemous show in the history of television”. Now – after a smash-hit, sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe – Rhum and Clay bring their award-winning production to Ventnor Exchange for 2 nights only.

Wednesday 29th & Thursday 30th May - 8pm - 9pm
