Rowley Leigh and Peter Gordon in conversation with Caroline Waldegrave

Saturday 21 October - 10.30 am
Tickets £10, students £6

Festival Patron, Caroline Waldegrave, talks to Rowley Leigh and Peter Gordon about their influence on what, and how, we eat.

Both renowned chefs are known as ‘godfathers’: Rowley as ‘godfather of Modern British cooking', Peter as ‘international godfather of fusion cuisine'.

In his Kensington Place Restaurant, Rowley combined a relaxed but professional style of service, high quality cooking and a contemporary, modernist design.  It won many awards and was much copied. Peter,  previously head chef at The Sugar Club in both New Zealand and London, currently has restaurants in London (The Providores and Tapa Room) and Auckland (Bellota and The Sugar Club), whilst also being involved with artisan doughnut company Crosstown Doughnuts.

A perfect pre-lunch talk to whet the appetite!

About Peter’s book, SAVOUR:  Salads for all Seasons

"This book is a thing of complete beauty! Peter is a master of a very elusive art: combining great innovation with a massively delicious tummy-hug."  Yotam Ottolenghi
