The Green Hollow
The Green Hollow, commissioned by the BBC to mark the 50th anniversary of the Aberfan disaster, is a lyrical re-telling of the disaster in the voices of survivors, rescuers and villagers today. At this event Owen will read extracts and discuss the writing of this work, which has been nominated for a BAFTA and will be published by Faber & Faber in 2018.

Skirrid Hill won a Somerset Maugham Award and his novel,
I Saw a Man, was shortlisted for the Prix Femina Etranger. He is currently Professor in Creativity at Swansea University and Chair of Wales PEN Cymru.
