Plum
Nobody Told Me, Hollie McNish’s taboo-breaking, funny, humane memoir on new parenthood, won the 2017 Ted Hughes New Poetry prize. Straddling the literary and live scene, and bringing new generations to poetry reading through her performances and Youtube videos, Hollie explores immigration, friendship, guilt, politics, work and play.
Plum, her latest work, is a candid collection through which she salutes a life where we constantly grow, trip, change and discover new selves. An evening with Hollie will be entrancing, wise, perhaps even rude. She will make us smile as we look back on our lives, from childhood to attempted adulthood.
