Terms and Conditions of Box Office Sale and Booking; Workington Playgoers Club (Workington Playgoers Club is hereinafter referred to in these terms and conditions as “the Club”, “Our”, “Us”, and “We”)


1. Online Box Office Arrangements
a. These terms and conditions apply to tickets sold through Our box office online site. These terms and conditions should be read prior to purchase, as purchase of a ticket means you accept all the terms and conditions.
b. The information contained in this website has been prepared solely for the purpose of providing information about performances and making online bookings for these performances.
c. By accessing this site you will be assuming all risks associated with the use of this site, including risk of your computer, software or data being damaged by any virus which might be transmitted or activated via Our box office site or your access to it.
d. You will only use this website for personal private use.
e. To prevent fraud and protect the Club and you, We may carry out checks and/or you may be asked to provide additional information (such as a copy of a credit or debit card statement) after your booking so We can verify your purchase. If We suspect fraud We may cancel any order or tickets.


2. Tickets
a. Tickets for sale online are subject to availability.
b. You should check your ticket at the time of purchase and contact Us immediately if there is a mistake.
c. We will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost, stolen or destroyed.
d. The price of the ticket includes any applicable taxes and booking or collection fees.
e  An order for tickets is not complete until accepted by Us. We try to ensure all prices are accurate but errors may occur. If We discover an error in the price of tickets you have ordered We will inform you as soon as possible and We may either cancel the order (in which case you will be refunded the ticket price and any booking, transaction or supplementary fees you have paid) or give you the option of confirming your order at the correct price. 
f. Whilst We allocate specific seats to you We have the right to change these seats to others of equal value.
g. Tickets you purchase are for personal use. Except as We may agree, you must not re-sell or transfer (or seek to re-sell or transfer) the tickets in breach of the applicable terms. A breach of this condition will entitle the Club to cancel the tickets without prior notification, refund, compensation or liability.
h. The cooling-off period referred to in the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (as Amended) does not apply to tickets purchased through Our Box Office. For the avoidance of doubt, there is no cooling-off period for tickets purchased from Our Box Office and your booking is non-refundable and non-exchangeable from the moment you click to confirm your purchase, save as provided in these terms and conditions


3. Delivery
a. Tickets will be supplied by email to the email address you supply to Us, for you to print out. If you have no facilities to print a ticket, please contact Us by email (see below)
b. You must inform Us of any change of address, contact phone number or email address, both before and after receipt of the tickets. Our contact details are below. Our preferred method to contact you is email, so you should take care to provide a current, valid email address and be aware that your email filter settings may treat Our emails as spam or direct them to your junk folder.
 

4. Refunds and Exchanges
a. Once tickets have been paid for We are unable to provide a refund or exchange (the exception to this is at sub-clause 4c below).
b. If you cannot attend a performance We are unable to refund or exchange your tickets.
c. If the event is cancelled or rescheduled by Us you will be entitled to a refund. Refunds must be claimed within 1 month from the date of the event. 
d. Any postage and/or card charges are non-refundable.
e. Tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged, or refunded once purchased other than for the reasons set out in these terms and conditions. 
f. No duplicate tickets will be issued to replace tickets that have been lost or stolen after they have been delivered to you, and nor will such tickets be refunded.


5. Cancellation
a. It is your responsibility to ascertain whether the event you have booked has been cancelled or rescheduled. 
b. The Club cannot guarantee to inform you of any change or cancellation of any event, and cannot be held responsible for refunds or for any resulting costs you may incur for travel, accommodation, any other related goods or service or other compensation. (Please also refer to ‘4. Refunds and Exchanges’ above).


6. Conditions of admission
a. We reserve the right to refuse admission.
b. We reserve the right to request patrons to leave the premises.
c. You should retain your ticket as it may be required for re-admission.
d. Animals are not permitted within the venue, with the exception of assistance dogs.
e. The use of cameras and recording equipment at the venue is strictly prohibited.
f. On rare occasions the show or event may be filmed or recorded. Buying a ticket affirms your consent to the filming and sound recording of yourself as a member of the audience. If you have any objection, should this happen when you attend a show or event, please contact a member of the theatre staff.
g. You will need to comply with safety announcements and instructions given by the stewards, and Our health and safety rules and any security requirements (including security searches for the safety of those attending the event). 
h. The Club has the right to refuse admission or eject you in certain circumstances and these are likely to include if you are involved with abusive, threatening, drunken or other anti-social behaviour, or carry offensive weapons or illegal or prohibited substances or make unauthorised audio, video or photographic recordings. In such cases, there will be no refunds.
i. You will be refused entry if you arrive late, unless and until there is a suitable break in the performance. It is your responsibility to arrive at a performance in plenty of time before the advertised start time. No refunds will be granted for refusal of entry to a performance due to late arrival.
j. When you receive your tickets check the details carefully. When attending the event, carry proof of age if appropriate.
k. Only food or drink purchased from the Club may be consumed on the premises.


7. Accuracy
The information contained within this site is correct at time of being published. We reserve the right to make alterations where necessary and are not liable for any subsequent omissions.


8. Data Protection
Under the Data Protection Act We have a legal duty to protect any information We collect from you. Personal data you give will be used exclusively for providing you with the information or service that you have requested. Once you have booked tickets with Us, your details will be held on Our database. From time, to time We may send you information about Us and Our programme of events. If you do not wish to receive this information, please tell Us by return of email and We will remove you from Our mailing list; alternatively, check the relevant box during the booking process. We do not pass any of your personal data to outside organisations and/or individuals.


9 General
a. These terms and conditions do not create any rights or obligations enforceable by or against anyone other than the Club.
We take every care to ensure information provided to Us by you is as safe and secure as is practical, based on the nature of the transaction.

However, every transaction is conducted at your own risk, and We will not be liable for any loss suffered by you except as caused directly by negligence on our part. The Club cannot be liable in any way for the acts or omissions of others. However, the Club does not seek to exclude its liability to you for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or any other liability which cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.

b. The purchase by you of tickets and these terms and conditions (and any contractual or non-contractual matters arising in relation to these terms and conditions) are governed by English law and any disputes arising out of any transaction between you and the Club are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.


All information is correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to make alterations should circumstances require it.
