Vanity Riots // Lower Coast Skies // Crash Tragic

“Every so often you hear a band that instantly suggests it has a broad enough appeal to break through, but who don’t have that watered-down middle of the road pop-punk alt-rock taste that seems to be a compromise at all levels.

“Vanity Riots on their ‘Ambulance’ EP seem to have retained their integrity, melding meaty metal riffs with some great female lead vocals. From the opening track ‘Ambulance’ to closer ‘Revival’ you can hear a band that sound comfortable, like they know what they have is the definitive article.” Mark Diggins, The Rock Pit

Vanity Riots made their debut in 2010 at an over-crowded club in Sydney’s notorious Kings Cross. Over the past 4 years the 5-piece have been constantly writing, recording and touring gaining recognition within the Australian rock and metal scenes as a young, determined DIY band with a heavy, yet catchy, original sound.

With two EPs under their belt, Vanity Riots combine 80s-inspired stadium-worthy riffs and catchy melodies with the heavy undertones of modern metal and metalcore. The sound has been described as a female-fronted Avenged Sevenfold meets Bullet for My Valentine meets Mötley Crüe – a combination that induces blistering live shows.

“Some of the best hard rock to come out of Sydney…Vanity Riots are the type of band that now have a deserved spot in the local scene.” Rob Foster, Kill Your Stereo

Vanity Riots’ sophomore EP, Ambulance, was released in May 2013 preceding an Australian East Coast tour. The band recently scored sponsorships from Imperial Cymbals (USA) and Collision Drumsticks (AUS) and are ecstatic to announce they will be featured on the covermount CD of the 11th edition of Classic Rock presents AOR, UK!
