A radio play of a new romantic comedy with songs & dance set in the 1930s with a dramatic subplot.  Hollywood Afloat was the nickname given to the luxurious liner The Berengaria, the movie stars favourite liner that carried them across the Atlantic. 

The action takes place on board with flashbacks to the 1920s and the Wall Street Crash. Assorted characters include a couple of gangsters who are chasing Freddie who is down on his luck.  A famous Hollywood star with her maid is on board along with Fats, a movie Mogul, who is looking for a new male and female lead for his latest film which features a storm at sea.
