Following two sell-out seasons at Edinburgh's Fringe Festival and a European Tour, former NME Vocalist of the Year and local Walton resident Oliver Darley presents Simply Bowie, bringing his own inimitable style to the music of this iconic artist.
Working with jazz pianist Chad Lelong, the two have stripped back Bowie's most recognisable hits to present a unique interpretation of great British songwriting.
As well as a string of newly arranged hits, the show also includes fascinating commentary of the often extraordinary stories that lay behind the original recordings.
Simply Bowie is not only a treat for Bowie fans, enabling them to find new meaning in freshly discovered lyrics and more prominent melodies, but also a wonderful and intriguing introduction for those who are new to his music.
