Hastings Pier Charity (“Our”, “Us” and “We”) Box Office - Terms and Conditions of Sale and Booking


1. Online Box Office Arrangements
a. These full terms and conditions apply to tickets sold through Our box office online site. These terms and conditions should be read prior to purchase, as purchase of a ticket means you accept all the terms and conditions.
b. The information contained in this website has been prepared solely for the purpose of providing information about events and making online bookings for these events.
c. By accessing this site you will be assuming all risks associated with the use of this site, including risk of your computer, software or data being damaged by any virus which might be transmitted or activated via Our box office site or your access to it.
d. You will only use this website for personal private use.


2. Tickets
a. Tickets remain the property of Hastings Pier Charity. 
b. Tickets for sale online are subject to availability.
c. You should check your ticket at the time of purchase and contact Us immediately if there is a mistake.
d. Tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded, resold, transferred, offered for sale, coupled or bundle with any other product or service or used for any commercial or promotional purpose whatsoever without Our consent. Any ticket which is resold or transferred will become invalid.
e. Only tickets purchased via our website, at Our online box office are valid for admission. Tickets sold via third parties and other unauthorised outlets, including online auction sites, are not valid for admission. We will not take responsibility for the validity of tickets purchased from unauthorised agents or other sources.
f. We will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost, stolen or destroyed.
g. Some events may have specific conditions of sale. These will be listed on the event pages for that event on Our site and it is the responsibility of the ticket holder to check this before purchasing tickets.
h. Unauthorised trading is not permitted on the premises.
i. Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number per person for certain events.
j. We reserve the right to make alterations to the advertised programme at any time and without advance notice.
k. It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to check any age restrictions before they purchase tickets.
l. Unless otherwise stated, under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
m. If there are no age restrictions advertised, the ticket buyer takes full responsibility for exposing the child to the content and context of the event.
n. For events deemed to be suitable for families, tickets are required for each child attending. 
o. The price of the ticket and booking/payment fees include any applicable taxes.
p. Failure to comply with these terms & conditions will make your ticket and transaction void.


3. Delivery
Tickets will be supplied by email for you to print out. If you have no facilities to print a ticket, please contact Us by email at events@hpcharity.co.uk. 


4. Amendments, Exchanges & Refunds
a. Amendments to a booking i.e. changes to names or contact information will be charged at 7.5% of the ticket cost.
b. Once tickets have been paid for We are unable to provide a refund or exchange (the exception to this is at sub-clause 4e).
c. If you cannot attend an event We are unable to refund or exchange your tickets.
d. All tickets are non-transferrable to other events.
e. If the event is cancelled or rescheduled by Us by any cause beyond Our control such as Force Majeure, you will not be entitled to a refund. Force Majeure - acts of God, flood, earthquake, windstorm or other natural disaster; epidemic or pandemic; war, threat of or preparation for war, riot, civil commotion, terrorist activities; fire, explosion, collapse of building structure; or any prohibition or restriction by any governments or other legal authority.
f. There will be occasions when events are cancelled or rescheduled by Us and refunds will be issued. Refunds must be claimed within 1 month from the date of the event and can only be claimed by the person who made the booking.
g. Refunds will only cover the face value of the tickets and any associated booking fees.
h. Refunds and exchanges will not be offered if, for any reason, the event goes ahead but the ticket holder is unable to travel to the venue.
i. Refunds and exchanges will not be made if the event goes ahead but the ticket holder leaves due to reasons beyond Our control and/or bad weather.
j. We are not liable for any personal travel, accommodation or hospitality arrangements made relating to the event or cancellation of any event.
k. Any card charges are non-refundable.


5. Concessions
a. Where applicable, concessions may be available for selected groups. Concessions are listed on the individual event pages. 
b. Group rates may be available. If you would like to enquire about a group booking, please contact Us by email at events@hpcharity.co.uk.
c. People with a registered disability who provide a valid DLA certificate are entitled to a free carer ticket, if a carer is needed. For more information please contact Us by email at events@hpcharity.co.uk.


6. Cancellation
It is your responsibility to ascertain whether the event you have booked has been cancelled or rescheduled. (see also Refunds and Exchanges).


7. Conditions of Admission
a. You must have a valid ticket and retain it as it may be required for inspection at any time.
b. Our latecomers policy can vary from event to event. Late admission is not guaranteed but every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable time during the event.
c. For some events a no re-admission policy will operate throughout.
d. Wheelchair users or those with individual needs should inform Us via email at events@hpcharity.co.uk to ensure they have the best experience at Our venue. 
e. The unauthorised use of cameras, audio and video equipment including mobile phones, ipads and tablets is not permitted.
f. By attending an event, ticket holders consent to being filmed, photographed or recorded as a member of the audience and the resulting materials being used in commercial distribution and publication without payment or copyright.
g. Food and drink purchased elsewhere must not be consumed on the premises.
h. Ticket holders are not permitted to sit/stand in any exit route. Dancing in the exit routes is strictly not permitted.
i. In accordance with legislation, no smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises, however the use of E-cigarettes is permitted.
j. Animals are not permitted within the premises, with the exception of assistance dogs.
k. You must comply with safety announcements and instructions given by the security/stewards.
l. For security reasons, security searches of bags, clothing and all other items may take place as a condition of entry. We reserve the right to confiscate items which may cause danger or disruption to the event or others attending the event.
m. We reserve the right to refuse admission and/or eject any person appearing to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or otherwise behaving dangerously or inappropriately. No refunds will be given under these circumstances.
n. We are not responsible for any loss, injury or damage except where any such loss, injury or damage is caused by the negligence of Hastings Pier Charity, its contractors or suppliers.


8. Accuracy
The information contained within this site is correct at time of being published. We reserve the right to make alterations where necessary and are not liable for any subsequent omissions.


9. Important Information
a. Loud music can damage hearing. Strobe lighting can cause epileptic fits.
b. CCTV and covert CCTV is in operation on the premises for the purposes of crime prevention and detection.
c. Alcohol must be purchased and consumed within the licensed areas of the premises.
d. We accept no responsibility for any personal property brought on to the premises.
e. Jumping is not permitted from the venue into the sea. 
f. The Pay & Display car park adjacent to Hastings Pier is owned and operated by Hastings Borough Council. Any issues regarding parking must be directed to Hastings Borough Council.
g. Customers planning on driving to Hastings Pier are advised not to leave valuables in their car.
h. You are asked to leave the premises quietly after the event so noise does not have an impact on Our neighbours. 


10. Complaints
We are committed to managing any customer complaints effectively and efficiently through a formal process. Customers are required to voice the complaint to the Duty Manager at the time of the event and before they leave the premises. They will then be invited to put the complaint in writing to the Operations Manager, who is responsible for coordinating the resolution of complaints and any subsidiary issues by liaising with the relevant and responsible departments. Comments and feedback are very important and help us improve the service We offer to all Our customers. We will respond in a professional, accurate and honest way. We aim to reply within 10 working days.

11. Data Protection
Under the Data Protection Act We have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. Personal data you give will be used exclusively for providing you with the information or service that you have requested. Once you have booked tickets with Us, your details will be held on Our database. From time to time we may send you information about Us and Our programme of events. If you do not wish to receive this information, please tell Us by return of email and We will remove you from our mailing list; alternatively, check the relevant box during the booking process. We do not pass any of your personal data to non-affiliated organisations and/or individuals
