Gareth Roberts Quartet

Playing music composed by and inspired by the great Duke Ellington, this talented Welsh Quartet will ‘light up’ the intimate surroundings of the Melville Theatre.

Gareth Roberts – trombone, Dave Jones – piano, Erika Lyons – double bass, Mark O’Connor – drums.

As well as running his own band, Gareth has played in numerous other bands.  He has become a highly respected teacher of  jazz trombone at the Royal Welsh College Of Music and Drama and has contributed much as musical director of Monmouth Big Band.
