SWING BOOTY

Swing Booty has been described as The Funky Blues Conglomerate! The Booty is much more than that! Swing Booty is a 7 piece genre mash-up of funk, soul and blues complete with afrobeat and latin undertones. The Booty has been around in various forms for a number of years, united by a shared love of music. Their combined love of all things music can be summed up in their song "(Music) Food of the Soul". When not playing with the Booty, band members can regularly be found performing in various bands and supporting live music throughout the Illawarra and beyond. The Booty love playing at The Heritage Hotel and are very excited to be releasing their debut self-titled album Swing Booty! It will be available for purchase on the night, so pack your dancing shoes and see you on the dance floor! The Booty.

 

The Booty is Spearheaded by the dynamic duo of Abbe Spencer & Kenny Bartley. Abbe plays percussion and sings with a passionate funky touch... She is the soul of the Booty! Kenny provides the lead guitar and vocals. Damo Stirling on Congas & Djembe gets your Booty Bounc'n with crazy jungle rhythms as well as bringing deep baritone backups...OOOOYEAH ! Al Yorke on drums drives the tempo and keeps The Booty together... although he's really in the band for his smooth kazoo! Tim Dennis gets you moving with his phat bass grooves and Marcello's nimble keys keeps everyone pleased. Mel Wishart is a regular guest at Booty gigs, armed with sax in hand, she takes the Booty to dizzy heights!
