November Showcase 2019

You are warmly invited to this year’s RGS Musical Showcase. This is the biggest concert of the year, when all the major groups in the school perform to what is usually a packed house. 

First Wind Band will open the evening with the overture from the smash hit musical “The Producers”, and this will be followed by contributions from its junior partner the Second Wind Band, Singers Ltd (our popular close harmony group), the renowned RGS Big Band and its junior partner, the Swing Band, as well as the classical guitar ensemble.

The string department will be represented by contributions from the Junior String Ensemble, and the Senior Orchestra will perform Beethoven’s First Symphony (First Movement) and a Serenade by William Matthias. Last but not least, this year’s Junior Choir will be singing a medley of songs from the shows, backed by a sixth form band.
