A creative community project bringing together individual experiences, thoughts and emotions about the time in lockdown. Individual collagraph printed and stitched squares of fabric are joined together to make a quilt illustrating the varied experiences of being quarantined because of Covid-19.

Same Sea, Different Boat was instigated by Sue Brown of the yard: ARTspace, Cheltenham Sue Brown Printmaker: PRINTMAKING GALLERY in collaboration with Louise Asher of Hope & Elvis, Nottingham Hope & Elvis – The Home of Creativity (hopeandelvis.co.uk), Liske Johnson of Littleheath Barn Studio, Bromsgrove Workshops and courses | Mysite 1 (littleheathbarnstudio.com), and Catherine Kingzett, textile artist catherinekingzett.co.uk/gallery.asp.They have bought together and inspired their studio communities, both nationally and internationally to make a personal piece of textile art which is forming a social artefact documenting 2020 and beyond.

The work of the artists involved will be shown alongside the sculptures of Catherine Macleod Figurative Sculpture | Catherine Macleod Ceramics | England . Catherine ‘s clay sculpture is mainly focused on the human form with a narrative about direction and journeys. Her figures are often peering out through binoculars, actively searching for a way to go forward.
