Our monthly Mock Tudor Comedy club night with
Markus Birdman as headliner and
Malinda Makuma,
Ash Frith as MC plus
Ray Badran!
MARKUS BIRDMAN is one of British comedy's most experienced and well-travelled performers. In demand all over the UK and abroad, Markus is a veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe with many solo shows to his credit and headliner status at all the top clubs.
He's performed at the Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth Comedy Festivals and was nominated by the New Zealand Comedy Guild for Best International Guest. His international gig list would give Michael Palin a run for his money, with shows in Singapore, The Netherlands, Qatar, Bahrain, Austria, Spain, France, Norway, Sweden, Singapore, Switzerland, Finland, Cyprus and India to name a few.
Not to be missed, catch him in the UK before he jets off again!
ASH FRITH started gigging in 2011 and has enjoyed performing with some of the best acts on the UK comedy circuit ever since. A great act in his own right and a highly accomplished MC, Ash has provided support for Russell Kane and Terry Alderton on theatre dates, as well as performing regularly on the UK circuit.
"I was Frithing at the mouth at his brilliance!" - Russell Kane
MALINDA MUKUMA is "Charming, unexpected and utterly compelling. Definitely one to watch" - Banana Cabaret. BBC New Comedy Awards 2023 Semi-finalist, Tour Support for Markus Birdman 2023, NZ Comedy Festival 2023, Melbourne Comedy Festival 2023, Glee Club, Backyard Comedy Club, Hen & Chickens, Bristol Hotwater, Komedia. Malinda was a favourite with the crowd last time she was here as her alter ego, Maxine Vuvuzela, so don't miss her return visit, this time, as herself.
RAY BADRAN is a standup comedian from Australia. He splits his time between London and Sydney where he is a regular at most comedy rooms and festivals. In London, he is the resident host of the knock2bag comedy nights. In Sydney, he mainly performs at the Sydney Comedy Store! Credits include 'performing standup on TV a few times', he's made a series for comedy central Aus/NZ, made a podcast for the ABC, made a pilot for the BBC, was awarded ‘Best International Guest Comedian’ by the NZ comedy guild, and he's written for various TV, radio, and live shows. He is, what we would say, a comedian's comedian. You'll understand better when you've seen his set.
