Blown Out On The Trail - The Songs of Bob Dylan

Back in 2021 Tobias was invited to play a set of Dylan songs at a German Ambassador's party in Berlin and since then the idea slow-burned in his imagination to offer that set as a gig here in the UK. Meeting Isabel at Sidmouth FolkWeek he was instantly struck by the range and emotional depth of her singing and was thrilled when she agreed to collaborate on a night celebrating these songs and this amazing legacy.

With stripped back, intimate acoustic arrangements and close vocal harmony, the night evokes the 60’s cafes of Greenwich Village and Dylan’s early Newport performances with Joan Baez as well as taking in a range of folk- rock, pop and American songbook style songs from across his 60 year career. Including well known hits plus some bootlegs and rarities.

Tobias ben Jacob is a compelling singer -songwriter whose gigs are brimming with connection, humanity, lyrical depth and humour. He is widely known as one half of UK duo Jacob & Drinkwater.
