Mock Tudor Comedy - Friday 8 November

Our monthly Mock Tudor Comedy club night with Ben Clover as MC, and Dane Buckley on the stage, with more acts and headliner to be announced!

Dane Buckley is the world’s only Irish, Indian, gay comedian… probably. An award-winning comedian and writer, he delivers his comedy effortlessly with cheeky charm and camp mischief.
Dane burst onto the comedy circuit in 2022, making a name for himself by winning Gong Shows (Beat the Frog World Series, The Comedy Store’s King Gong, Top Secret’s Gong, to name a few) and has been a finalist in LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year (2022) and 2Northdown’s New Act competition (2022).
Whether it’s stories of his early years – Irish mammies, Indian grannies, and rebel priests – or his career in social care – chasing pensioners through Paris or delivering a baby impromptu – audiences across the UK are enjoying Dane’s hilarious and heart-warming tales.

Ben Clover has a unique and clever preceptive on the world he uses to great effect on stage. His well disguised jokes and observations catch audiences unaware, and the writing is original enough to keep them engaged. For a “scripted” comedian, Clover is surprisingly comfortable riffing with the crowed. Indeed, he is also a warm and quick-witted MC.
