Our monthly Mock Tudor Comedy club night with the amazing
John Robertson headlining, where no two gigs are ever the same! Plus the ever popular
Ben Clover as MC, along with dry-witted
Joe Foster and just added to the bill,
Jenny Collier!
JOHN ROBERTSON has been a stand-up comic for 20 years. Well known for his improvisational and high-energy style and also the creator of legendary interactive live-action videogame show
The Dark Room. A human hurricane, John has headlined festivals, theatres and comedy clubs around the world, where he arrives, plays with the crowd like nobody else can, then leaves. He’s also written 13 different solo shows, created custom work, performed at 12 Edinburgh Fringes, SOLD OUT EdFringe in 2023 and his show was recommended on the British Comedy Guide. Since 2020, his online shows have raised over £100,000 for charities including NHS, Samaritans, Shelter, Mermaids, End The Virus Of Racism, Special Effect and The Trussell Trust. Not to be missed - you will know that you have witnessed not just a comedy show but a uniquely entertaining event!
BEN CLOVER has a unique and clever preceptive on the world he uses to great effect on stage. His well disguised jokes and observations catch audiences unaware, and the writing is original enough to keep them engaged. For a “scripted” comedian, Clover is surprisingly comfortable riffing with the crowed. Indeed, he is also a warm and quick-witted MC.
JOE FOSTER is a stand-up comedian from Brighton with a dry wit and likeable persona which has established him as a firm favourite with audiences and promoters alike. In 2015 Joe won the Fosters South Coast Comedian Of The Year Competition which cemented his reputation as one of the fresh new voices on UK comedy circuit.
JENNY COLLIER is a multi-award winning stand up comedian, writer and actor. An established regular on the international club and festival circuit, Jenny has supported Jason Manford, John Bishop, Arthur Smith, and Shaparak Khorsandi on their UK tours and has performed in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Switzerland and Australia where she won the Percy Award during the Adelaide Fringe. Jenny has appeared on 'The Rhod Gilbert Show' (BBC Wales), 'The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan Introduces' (Channel 4), New Comedian of the Year Award (BBC Radio 4 Extra), The Comedy Club (BBC Radio 4 Extra), What’s The Story (BBC Wales), Newsbeat (BBC Radio 1), The Leak (BBC Wales) and has written for BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz, The Now Show, Huffington Post and Glamour Magazine.
