Walton Heritage Festival 2024 - presented by Love Walton

This year, Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse, and Walton Parish (St. Mary's Church) are joinning hands to deliver an updated Heritage Festival focused on those historic venues in Walton-on-Thames.

At the Riverhouse Barn, we will be hosting community stalls, live entertainment, 'print-your-own-Walton-postcard' art station (supported by the Richmond Printmakers), a Barn tour (detail here), and a talk on local Elmbridge history (more information about the talk here).

At the Robert Phillips Gallery (on the first floor of Riverhouse Barn), there will be a free admission print exhibition 'Variations on a Theme', showcasing works by Richmond Printmakers. 10:00am - 4:00pm    Art Exhibition: Variations on a Theme- Works by Richmond Printmakers [Free entry, more information here]

11:00am - 4:00pm    Stall by local business and community groups in the car park [No need to reserve]

12:00 - 3:00pm        Meet the Artist and Live Oil Painting in the Courtyard - Rodney Kingston  

12:30 - 1:00pm        Free tour of Riverhouse Barn - our volunteer will lead the tour to reveal stories and behind-the-scenes of the second grade listed Barn [Reserve your space here]  

1:30 - 2:30pm          Free Talk: Elmbridge's Early History: From Caesar to 1066 by Tim Hazell [Reserve here]

2:00 - 3:30pm          Print-your-own-Walton-Postcard Art Station at Toshiba Craft Studio [Free drop in, no need to book]

3:30 - 4:00pm          Free Live Jazz Music in the Barn!  Band performance by u3a Elmbridge Band  [No need to reserve]


Walton Heritage Festival events at other venues:
At The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse, who are celebrating their 100th anniversary next year, there will be films, theatre tours and displays from Elmbridge Museum. At St Mary's Parish Church, there will be access to births, deaths & marriage records.  More fun activities to be confirmed.
