Kafka's Dick By Alan Bennett - Presented By Runnymede Drama Group

In Kafka’s Dick, Alan Bennett takes us on an hilarious journey from early 20th Century Prague, into a
conventional Leeds Semi-Detached and on through the gates of Heaven. En-route as well as making
us laugh he explores the nature of fame and the way critics and historians degrade and twist our
perception of the famous and their work. He also manages to cover family relationships, and how
parents influence artists, the loyalty of friends, the fickleness of hero worship and much more. It is a
real pleasure to be presenting the work of one of our greatest living playwrights.
