Parklife

Jim Reed

Open 10am to 4pm
Wednesday 12 to Sunday 16 March 2025
Free admission. No need to book

Jim is a local architect and painter. He is director of London based practice
Reed Watts Architects, working with clients including the V&A Museum, the
Open Air Theatre and the National Trust. His practice has also worked locally,
designing the award winning Teddington Cricket Pavilion in Bushy Park.
Typically using nature for inspiration Jim’s paintings explore the tension
between representation and abstraction, framed within carefully constructed
compositions. His colourful marks are applied quickly, building layers that imbue
the work with energy and purpose, while maintaining a looseness which allows
space for interpretation by the observer.

This collection, entitled ‘Parklife’, is predominantly composed of scenes in Bushy Park.
