In the house where Dickens wrote five chapters of David Copperfield and in the drawing room where he staged his “theatricals”, a collage of verse and improvised music mixing sex, translation, love, transgression, poetry, exile and murder from Ancient Rome and the Black Sea coast to renaissance and restoration London and the present day. Based on a book by Steve Rushton inspired by the poets Ovid, Marlowe and Dryden. First performed at London’s Hundred Years Gallery by Ovid with Reverb in April, “a must see great collaboration”.
