Ventnor Fringe 2022: Much Ado About Bingo

Boogaloo Stu’s 70s throwback comedy character Derek Daniels invites you to play a game of Bingo - but not as you know it! Watch the sparks fly as polyester and crimplene are set to collide; the crimplene king Derek Daniels and the polyester queen Lorraine Bowen join forces for this sensationally silly and slightly Shakespearean game of musical bingo - its Much Ado About Bingo! 

Listen carefully as Derek sings a medley of classic 70s tunes, whilst casually dropping Shakespearean quotes into a reminiscence of his first date with his long-suffering wife Bev. Grab your bingo card and tick off the songs and quotes as you hear them, in a frantic bid to win the Full House and claim your gift from the 70s gift hamper. Derek will also be joined onstage by his old showbiz sidekick Ronnie Hazelnut at the piano, and his very special guest Lorraine Bowen. The delightfully eccentric “Crumble Lady” from Britain’s Got Talent, Lorraine won David Walliams’ Golden Buzzer on the show with her catchy melodies, Casiotone organ and love of polyester gowns. A perfect match for Derek!
