Ventnor Fringe 2023: The Dickens Trail Around Bonchurch (SOLD OUT)

Join the very popular guided walk discussing the forgotten history of Charles Dickens visit to Bonchurch in 1849. It is almost 175 years since the visit, it was a surprisingly busy holiday that was to have interesting long term consequences on the local population.

Sue Lowday will be sharing her years of research into this unique period of time with quotations and illustrations to illuminate the walk.
The walk begins at the pond in Bonchurch, taking a rounded tour up to The Pitts and down to the shore.
Early booking is recommended as spaces are quickly filled.
Please wear suitable footwear for uneven surfaces. We will be walking up and down some steep slopes.
