L'Atalante: Breaking Into The New Wave (SOLD OUT)

Local artist and academic David Kori talks about the development of his own work and his debt to french film maker Jean Vigo. Vigo influenced French new wave directors such as Cocteau, Renoir, Godards and Bunuel. David will discuss his love of many styles of film, from Hollywood to Bollywood and Nollywood. Next we show Jean Vigo’s seminal 1934 romantic film, “L’atalante”, voted one of the greatest films of all time. A glass of prosecco and strawberries will be offered on arrival.
