art_house_life presents new artwork from Jeremy P. Morgan, Jo Kori and Albedo Marz exclusively for Ventnor Fringe 2018
Jeremy P. Morgan: Imaginal Geographies
Jeremy is Associate Professor of Painting at the San Francisco Art Institute. He follows up two successful one-man exhibitions last year in Shanghai and Beijing, China with new experimental artworks - some of which are based on his visit 2 years ago to Alum Bay, IoW. Imaginal Geographies is an exploratory bringing together of landscape, geology and geography, in artworks that hover on a sensitive threshold between abstraction, figuration and an insistence on their own inherent painterly reality.
Jo Kori: Panic Room
A small chamber built as a sanctuary is the location for a group of wild mantids known for their extraordinary patience - new reflective wall drawings from Jo.
Albedo Marz: Waking and Sleeping
“When walking, I am asleep, when sleeping, I dream reality
Pursued and covered with sweat, I run” - Song of a Citizen by Czeslaw Milosz
In this new series of collages by Albedo, the waker becomes the sleeper, who in their dreams becomes the landscape and their own and all history.
