Terms and Conditions for Lighthouse Festival Ltd trading as Whitby Rising (“Our”, “Us” and “We”) Box Office - Terms and Conditions of Sale and Booking
 

1. Online Box Office Arrangements
a. These full terms and conditions apply to tickets sold through our box office online site. These terms and conditions should be read prior to purchase, as purchase of a ticket means you accept all the terms and conditions.
b. The information contained in this website has been prepared solely for the purpose of providing information about performances and making online bookings for these performances.
c. By accessing this site you will be assuming all risks associated with the use of this site, including risk of your computer, software or data being damaged by any virus which might be transmitted or activated via our box office site or your access to it.
d. You will only use this website for personal private use.


2. Tickets
a. Tickets for sale online are subject to availability.
b. You should check your ticket at the time of purchase and contact us immediately if there is a mistake.
c. We will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost, stolen or destroyed.
d. The price of the ticket includes any applicable taxes and booking or collection fees.


3. Delivery 
Tickets will be supplied by email for you to print out. Please check your SPAM or JUNK folder if it does not appear in your in box straight away as tickets very often go to here. If you have no facilities to print a ticket, please contact us by email at whitbyrising@hotmail.com


4. Refunds and Exchanges
a. Once tickets have been paid for we are unable to provide a refund or exchange (the exception to this is at sub-clause 4c).
b. If you cannot attend a performance we are unable to refund or exchange your tickets.
c. If the event is cancelled or rescheduled by us you will be entitled to a refund. Refunds must be claimed within 1 month from the date of the event. 
d. Any postage and/or card charges are non-refundable.
e. Tickets cannot be refunded after purchase unless the event is cancelled on the instruction of the Management/Promoter.
 - In the event of a cancellation by the promoter/management, the face value of the ticket will be refunded.
- In the event of a partial cancellation, any refund will be at the artist/promoter’s discretion.
- No duplicate tickets will be issued for lost tickets


5. Cancellation
It is your responsibility to ascertain whether the event you have booked has been cancelled or rescheduled. (see also Refunds and Exchanges).


7. Conditions of admission
- The artist/management/promoter reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone if in their reasonable opinion that admission of the person might be a risk to the safety of the person, audience or the event as a whole eg: the person appears to be under the influence of drink and/or drugs or is acting aggressively.
- Right to refuse entry is reserved; security personnel can search all people entering the event site.
- Eviction - An appropriate eviction policy will be adhered to by the security team who will remove any person they suspect to be a committing a criminal offence or exposing themselves or any other person to threat, harm or risk.- 
- Admission to the event is at the ticket holder’s risk. The artists and promoter shall not be held liable for any loss or damage or injury to personal property within the event premises, unless legally held liable. The event holds adequate public liability insurance for the period of the event.
- Your ticket will be swapped for a wristband and re entry will be strictly controlled and at the discretion in the promoter and SIA staff
- entry of any vehicles to the site will be at entirely at the discretion of the Promoter and SIA staff.
- All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 21 who will be responsible for the safeguarding of that child at all times during the opening hours of the event. 
- please put your phone number on the inside of your child’s wristband
- You must comply with safety announcements and instructions given by the stewards.
- Animals are not permitted within the venue, with the exception of assistance dogs.
- Readmission - Re-entry to the site will be discouraged and is entirely at the discretion of the Management, strictly supported by SIA staff. Any person or vehicle wishing to leave the site will be subject to further searches if they choose to return to the site. 


8. General Information
Warning – Exposure to loud and excessive music may be damaging to your hearing.
All ticket holders consent to filming and sound recording as members of the audience.
The artist/promoter reserves the right to make changes in the performance and event timings owing to unforeseen or unavoidable causes.
No illegal substances are to be brought into the event site – anyone found in possession of such items will be handed to the police and the items confiscated.
No glass bottles or alcohol to be brought into the site; alcohol, food, soft drinks and water will be available to purchase within the event site.
All conditions of the ticket are to be read together with all other statements and directives shown on the event publicity and instructions displayed at the event.
All ticket holders will be expected to behave in a responsible manner and refrain from antisocial behaviour.


9. Accuracy
The information contained within this site is correct at time of being published. We reserve the right to make alterations where necessary and are not liable for any subsequent omissions.


10. Data Protection
Under the Data Protection Act We have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. Personal data you give will be used exclusively for providing you with the information or service that you have requested. Once you have booked tickets with us, your details will be held on our database. From time, to time we may send you information about us and our programme of events. If you do not wish to receive this information, please tell us by return of email and we will remove you from our mailing list; alternatively, check the relevant box during the booking process. We do not pass any of your personal data to outside organisations and/or individuals.
