Who We Are
This privacy notice is for National Star, the working name of the registered charity National Star Foundation, charity number 220239. Our address is Ullenwood Manor, Ullenwood, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL53 9QU.
For simplicity throughout this notice, ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ means National Star.
1. What information do We gather and for what purpose?
As a visitor to this site you may be asked to provide us with personal information such as your name, address, telephone number and email address when you fill out a form.

To sell you a ticket for our events, in accordance with the legal basis of ‘contract’, which allows us to process personal information when it is necessary to enter into or fulfil a contract with you.
To manage the effective organisation and operation of our events, in accordance with the legal basis of ‘legitimate interest’, which allows us to process personal information when it is in our interests. Our interests are ensuring our events are well run.
To send you promotional and fundraising information, in accordance with the legal basis of ‘consent’, which allows us to process personal information where you have given clear consent for the purpose. Where you have given your consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting is at enquiries@nationalstar.org or follow the unsubscribe instructions on any promotional email that you receive.
Some of the information We collect through forms is marked as mandatory and other information is provided voluntarily, if you fail to provide Us with information that is marked as mandatory We will not be able to process your form and complete our contract. The only mandatory information We ask for is that which is needed to complete the ticket sale.
2. Payment details
Payment is handled separately, and securely, through Stripe, who are our data processor, so those details are never gathered by Us and We never have access to them.
How long we keep it
Whenever we use your personal data, we’ll keep it only for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, which will continue after the event. At the end of that period, your data will be securely deleted, or anonymised so that it no longer identifies you and can be used by us for statistical and planning purposes.
4. Who will We share this information with?
We do not share the information we collect with any third party apart from The Little Box Office, who host the site and hold this information for Us. The Little Box Office are our data processor.
5. What rights do you have regarding your information?
The law on Data Protection gives you a number of rights over the use of your personal data. In this context the rights available to you are
Right to rectification
You have the right to ask us to change incorrect or incomplete personal data about you. This right is always available.
Right to erasure
You have the right to require us to delete your personal data in certain circumstances.

You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.

You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data on request. This right always applies, but some information is exempt.
To protect the confidentiality of your information, we will verify your identity before actioning any request you make to exercise your rights.
If we are unable to action your request we will explain to you the reasons for our refusal.
