Privacy Policy

The Neeld Community and Arts Centre and The Little Box Office respects the rights of its customers and their personal details, and is in accordance with the principles outlined in the Data Protection Act and other associated legislation.

What information do we gather?
We collect your first and last name, email address, phone number and postcode, as well as information on whether wheelchair access is required (if applicable) and information on where you heard about the event.
Payment is handled separately and securely through PayPal. These details are never gathered by The Little Box Office and they never have access to them.

Why do we need this information and what do we do with it?
We require this information to process the booking of tickets. Wheelchair access information is requested so that we can make appropriate provision for wheelchair users for the shows. We need your name and email address so we may be able to send you tickets electronically, so we can re-issue you tickets and offer refunds if necessary. We may also use these details to send you promotional material about other related services or products where you have consented and opted in to receive this information.

Who will we share this information with?
We share information with the Little Box Office, who host the box office site and hold this information for us. They are also subject to the Data Protection Act in the same manner we are.
We do not routinely share this information outside of our organisation, unless the law permits this. Where it is legally required or is otherwise necessary (and complies with data protection law), we may share this information with our legal or trusted advisers for the purpose of obtaining advice, with government agencies if required by law, or with law enforcement agencies for the prevention or detection of crime.
We may sometimes share limited personal details with venue hirers or other third parties who are organising the event to help them manage the event (for example to check ticket sales at the door). This will be limited to the information necessary for the purpose and will only be permitted where the sharing of this information is not overridden by your own interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.

How do we protect your information?
We ensure that we process personal data securely and in a manner that ensures appropriate security of your personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures. Where we use third parties to process personal data on our behalf, we ensure that they provide sufficient guarantees about their security measures within a written contract.
Payment is handled separately and securely through PayPal. PayPal uses their own security measures to keep your personal banking details safe, including safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption. Please see their privacy policy for more information.

What rights do you have to access, change or remove your information?
You have the right to:
1.       Ask for confirmation that we are processing your data and a copy of the information that we hold about you;
2.       Correct and update your information;
3.       Withdraw your consent (where we rely on it as the basis of processing and where no other legal basis applies.)
4.       Object to our use of your information (where we rely on our legitimate interests or public tasks to use your personal information) provided we do not have any continuing lawful reason to continue to use and process the information and except in cases where our processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.
5.       To object to direct marketing (including profiling) and processing for the purposes of scientific/historical research and statistics except where processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out for reasons of public interest.
6.       Erase your information (or restrict the use of it), provided we do not have any continuing lawful reason to continue to use and process that information;
7.       Transfer your information in a structured data file (in a commonly used and machine-readable format), where we rely on your consent to use and process your personal information or for the performance of a contract; and where we are carrying out the processing by automated means (ie excluding paper files).

You can exercise the above rights and/or manage your information by contacting us on enquiries@chippenham.gov.uk (Neeld Community and Arts Centre) or admin@thelittleboxoffice.com (The Little Box Office).
