Scriptwriting Workshop with Casey Jay Andrews

8 delegates are invited to send in short (3 minutes) scripts for review by writer, director and actor Casey Jay Andrews.  During the workshop the scripts will be performed by Casey and two other actors, with feedback then provided by Casey, the actors and the other delegates.  There will be time to work on the scripts during the day and to see the changed script re-performed.

The provisional timetable for the day is as follows:-

10 for 10.30am arrival, tea and coffee
10.30 – 11.15 first session
11.15 – 11.30 break (time approximate)
11.30 – 12.15 second session
12.15 – 2.15 lunch break (lunch not included, please bring a packed lunch or go out to a local pub/cafe) and time for delegates to work on their projects
2.15 – 3.00 third session
3.00 – 3.15 break (time approximate)
3.15 – 4.00 fourth and final session.

Casey Jay Andrews is a writer, actor and director.  She trained at The Guildford School of Acting.  With HookHitch Theatre she wrote and performed in My Friend Peter, which opened The Swallow Theatre's 2016 season to audience acclaim, and ran a creative writing workshop which garnered excellent feedback from delegates.  This year she is here with Lion House Theatre, who bring the magic of folklore and fantasy to contemporary stories; 21st century characters colliding with ancient myth and legend.  Her new shows, written and starring Casey, and directed by Steve McCourt and Mark Hooper, Every Wild Beast & Night Creature are being performed here at The Swallow Theatre as a double bill on 30 June and 1 July 2017 at 7.30pm.
