Nancy Sleekit / Howard's Revenge

Splinters Productions presents a double bill by Donald Campbell.

Anna Hepburn and Finlay McLean perform two captivating Victorian entertainments.  Nancy Sleekit is no woman to meddle with.  Recently widowed, she regales us in expressive Scots with tales of her three husbands, their many failings and untimely ends.  Along the way we are entertained to rich cameos of the low life in Edinburgh’s Auld Reekie. The feisty Nancy’s acerbic with is a sheer delight!

Howard's Revenge tells the story of Irish actor-manager JB Howard who is engaged by the Theatre Royal, Edinburgh to perform the role of Rob Roy MacGregor – but behind the scenes lurks a conspiracy.  Can acting genius Henry Irving be trusted?  What are the motives of theatre manager Robert Wyndham?  A story of skullduggery bubbles to the surface!

Splinters Productions are a well-established touring theatre, running for more than 20 years, consisting of seasoned, professional actors bringing performances to delight and entertain audiences throughout the length of Scotland.  The company were previously at The Swallow Theatre a few years ago with their production of The Matchmaker  - “the most moving, the most hilarious and the most engaging piece of theatre I have seen in a long time!” (Joyce Gunn Cairns MBE).
