Old Bags & Bitches: the Life of a Contralto

Unfortunately the performers of Old Bags & Bitches: The Life of a Contralto, which was due to take place here on 8 September 2018, are now unable to make it, and the concert has had to be postponed.

We know that Susan and Russell are very disappointed not to be able to be here, and we hope to rearrange the performance for a future date.

Ticket holders have received a full refund.

In opera and musical theatre sopranos are always the heroine, mezzos play the sexy temptress or trouser roles, tenors the hero and basses are fathers or baddies.  What is the lot of a contralto, the lowest female voice? Find out with Susan Moore (contralto) and Russell Hepplewhite (piano) as they explore contralto repertoire in songs, opera and musical theatre.

Susan Moore is a character contralto known for her vivid dramatic interpretation, comic timing and rich contralto voice.

Russell Hepplewhite is a pianist and award winning composer.

Susan and Russell last performed at The Swallow Theatre in autumn 2015 and we are delighted that they are returning with a new show.
