‘I have been painting landscapes, both impressionist and abstract for twenty years, focusing on skies and the open countryside in Suffolk and Surrey .Painting is very satisfying: I love the rich hues, texture and versatility of oil paint. I add  layers of colour to create texture , seeking to evoke the character of the subject,  and add my own interpretation of the scene before me.'
