Litfest'22 | My Sand Life, My Pebble Life A memoir of a childhood and the sea, Ian McMillan

Ian McMillan is a poet, journalist, playwright and broadcaster who Times Education Supplement dubbed ‘the Shirley Bassey of performance poetry’. He’s been a castaway on Desert Island Discs, poet in residence for The Academy of Urbanism, Barnsley FC & Lockdown Poet and resident poet at English National Opera. He presents The Verb on BBC Radio 3 and has appeared on Coast, BBC Breakfast, Pick of the Week and Last Word. In the recently released My Sand Life, My Pebble Life -  A memoir of a childhood and the sea; Ian recalls his days by the sea, from Cleethorpes & Scarborough to Northumberland & Blackpool & the Isle of Skye.

Filmfest'22 | Pitch Perfect Networking Event

Filmfest ’22 presents Pitch Perfect, a golden opportunity to pitch your film project to a panel of industry professionals, and to network with fellow creatives.

A panel of industry professionals will hear your pitch and offer feedback, assessing all elements from the appeal of the project itself to the quality of the pitch. This will be a   great opportunity to get your idea out there to see what people think of it, to practice your pitching skills and to make some great industry connections.

All are welcome to come and watch the pitches and to participate in the following open floor networking event at the bar.
