Crochet Christmas Bauble Course

Tutor: Merrian Holland
Fancy making a unique set of Christmas baubles? Join us for this two week crochet workshop! These baubles make attractive decorations and are prefect gifts.

Skill Level
You must be confident in crocheting basic stitches – i.e. sc/UK double crochet, dc/UK treble crochet, slip stitching, chaining & know how to count your stitches.

This is a relaxed and friendly course. It offers a combination of techniques such as batik, felting and machine sewing along with more traditional hand embroidery.

Oil Painting Class

Wednesday 3pm - 5pm
Discover the joys of oil painting!

Sign up for this 10-week course to learn everything you need to know about oil painting. Suitable for all levels of painter including complete beginners. Rodney Kingston will guide you through the materials and equipment required and cover subjects such as colour, tone and drawing, and teach you essential oil painting techniques. You'll discover all you need to know to confidently venture into the world of oil painting.

Wednesdays 3pm – 5pm beginning on 25 September through to 4 December with a break for half term on 30 October.

Enamelling Courses: Wire Work and Wet Lay

Enamelling Introduction Skill Sessions fteaturing Wire Work & Wet Lay
Time & Dates:  Sunday 1.30pm - 3.30pm Jan 12th till Mar 23rd

Session structure - 8 x 2hr sessions split into two parts: Part A and part B (can be booked separately)
All sessions cover Introductory Skills : scraffito, masking, screens, sifting, brushing, colour layering & design, finishing skills for creating smooth surface finish + bubbling or cracking issue resolution

No previous experience is needed 

Part A - Enamel and Wire Working
Bending wire & incorporate into melted powdered glass on copper + Introductory Skills

Part B - Enamel and Wet Laying
Creating wet enamels. Laying wet enamel within wire shapes. Designing and colour blending on your piece + Introductory Skills

Parts A & B combined provide a complementary range of skills and techniques. Building extended knowledge of enamelling to create multiple pieces.

NEW COURSE FOR SPRING - Introduction to Enamelling

Tuesday 9am - 11am
8 week course (4 weeks followed by 3 week break and then another 4 weeks)
Our enamelling group is offering Beginners Skill Sessions. You will be signing up for 8 x 2hr sessions run over the Spring term 2025. You must be over 18 and be prepared to adhere to safety procedures.
Spring term dates are 9am to 11am Tuesdays:  14th Jan + 21st Jan + 28th Jan + 4th Feb.… 3 week 1/2 term gap… 4th March + 11th March + 18th March + 25 March 2025
